Education

The net enrollment rate defined as the ratio of the students enrolled to a certain level of education to the level of grammar population associated with that education level and the students enrolled to a certain level of education at national and international level, and the ratio of those enrolled to the education level in Adıyaman for 2016-2017 education period 97,02% for primary education,  for secondary education 38,56% and vocational and technical secondary education 45,70%. Adıyaman takes place in 57th place among 81 provinces with net enrollment rates.

 

Adiyaman University, which is the only university of the province and founded in 2016, has 3 institutes, 13 faculties, 1 conservatory, 3 higher schools, 6 vocational schools and 13 research application centers. As of 2017, the University has 857 academic staff, 32 professors, 53 associate professors, 253 assistant professors, 165 lecturers, 341 research assistants and 13 experts.

 

ADYU shows a significant increase in the number of students over the years. In 2018, the total number of students was 21,119.
