On the historical structure of Kilis and in the vicinity, that is, as Anatolia and Mesopotamia, one of the world’s oldest civilizations intersection and transition region; alongside local and regional civilizations such as Babylonian, Hittite, Aramaic, Assyrian; it is possible to encounter the traces of big civilizations such as Persian, Macedonian, Byzantine, Arab, Seljuk, Mamluk, Ottoman.

 

According to the Kilis Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, there are 42 archaeological sites, one of which is archaeological and the other urban, and a number of registered immovable cultural assets. Some of these cultural assets are: Ravanda Castle, Oylum Tumulus, Ulu Camii (Grand Mosque), Tekke Camii (Tekke Mosque), Tekke Mevlevihanesi (Dervish Hall), Courthouse, Akıncı Konağı (Mansion), Neşet Efendi Konağı (Mansion), Pasha Hamam, İpşir Pasha Kastel (Fountain).
